In the beginning of the winter transfer window, Arsene Wenger started saying that he was predicting Arsenal to be very busy in the market and many fans of the Premier League club started to believe that a few high-profile players were going to be signed in January but after everything was said and done, the only player that was signed by Arsenal was Mohamed Elneny.

The 23 year old Egyptian midfielder made his debut appearance with Arsenal back in January 30 of the ongoing year in FA Cup match that saw Arsenal claiming a 2-1 triumph over Burnley. Mohamed Elneny played in the entirety of this game and Arsene Wenger stated that he was impressed by the performance that his only winter signing displayed.

Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger spoke to the media after their FA Cup victory as the French manager said: ‘’I think he has to adapt to the power side of the game but he has shown interesting ingredients like game intelligence, mobility and technical ability and had some good shots. He will be a very interesting player for us. I think overall we had a good performance and we wanted to respond with a win. We wanted to qualify and the first 20 minutes looked like it could be all us but then suddenly when they equalized it became a different game’’

Arsene Wenger is a manager who has always had to cope with dealing with an substantially long injury list as players of his squad are consistently getting injured and this season has not been any different.

Gibbs, Coquelin, Cazorla, Jenkinson, Hayden, Szczesny, Wilshere, Walcott, Welbeck and Sanchez are all of the players who have recently been suffering with injuries and it has forced Arsene Wenger on having to utilize backup players as well as having to think outside of the box in certain occasions and specific games in order to deal with the injuries of his players.

However, even with all of these injuries, Arsenal has still managed to stay in the top spots of the Premier League and have turned into one of the favorites of becoming the new champions of England.
