South Korea will be hoping to emerge group leaders when they take on their Mexican counterparts in Group C.

Korea picked up four points from the two games played so far, while Mexico garnered same number of points but with lower goal difference.

The highly competitive game will be played in Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha in the capital of Brazil. The winner will get the pass to play in the next stage, but a draw will mean both sides move to the next stage. Germany is in third place with two points but with 0 goal difference. Fiji have no point from the two games, and have suffered massive defeats leaving Germans the favourite to win the game and move up to five points. However, the last series of games in the group will be played at the same time to avoid any advantage or match fixing.

Mexico started by holding the German team to a 2-2 draw in the first round of games while Korea Republic decimated Fiji with eight unreplied goals. Mexico did theirs but the game ended with a 5-1 scoreline in the second round of games while Germany held Korea to a 3-3 draw. Germany will be hoping to get their share of the pie whilst hoping the Korea vs. Mexico game ends up a winner. Also, Germany will have to score a lot of goals when they play Fiji because if the other game ends in a draw, all three teams would be tied on five points.

According to the rules, aside points obtained from the group stage, countries would be ranked based on goal difference in the group matches. Korea have a huge advantage since its eight currently, but if it were to be the same, the next consideration would be the number of goals scored in all the group matches.
