Manchester City are expecting a very tough match against Sevilla according to their manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Recent run of results have seen the club top the English Premier League, but they continue to struggle in Europe. It has been a story of City in the Champions League over the last few seasons. They have certainly not been helped by the tough draws in the group stages. It is more of the case for the 2015 group stages as well. After being beaten by Italian champions Juventus in the opening game, City were lucky to get a narrow win against Borussia M├Ânchengladbach in the previous round.

City prepare for the third consecutive home game in all competitions while also keeping one eye on the upcoming Manchester derby. City have scored more than five goals in their last two matches. They seem to have overcome the absence of Sergio Aguero in the best possible fashion after beating Bournemouth 5-1 at Etihad stadium. Pellegrini, though, will be aware that Sevilla will be a competitor in a different league. The Spanish club qualified for the Champions League group stages after having won the Europa league. The winning mentality still resides within the team and they cannot be taken lightly.

“Everyone thought that Sevilla would be better in the Spanish League at the moment, but for different reasons they didn’t start well. But they beat Barcelona, it is not easy. So I spoke with the players this morning, we are sure that tomorrow we will play against the real Sevilla.I am sure that at the end of the season we will see Sevilla again fighting to qualify for the next Champions League. They have important players and a good manager,” said Pellegrini about the Spanish club, who have managed only two wins in the last five games.
