TOTTENHAM STAR SON SAYS CLUB EYEING TOP FOUR SPOT

Following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santos from the Tottenham Hotspur managerial role, the London club were looking lost. They were looking like a side that needed some motivation, with a couple of their players not finding their best form. Star striker Harry Kane, particularly, was struggling to find his goalscoring boots and it really hurt the whole team. Fellow attacker Heung-Min Son was also a shadow of himself and there were a couple of calls from fans that club owner Daniel Levy should bring in a top manager if any change has to be made.

It looked like Levy heard the voice of the fans as he plotted the appointment of Antonio Conte. The Italian manager was out of job shortly after leaving last season’s Italian Serie A champions Inter Milan and he was the manager in charge and responsible for guiding them to the League title. Conte was brought in as the new Spurs manager in a bid to help rejuvenate and revitalize the team so they can feel motivated and perform better.

The plan worked though and Conte has already brought balance to the team. I’m his first transfer window in charge as Spurs manager, the former Chelsea manager allowed some departures and also signed new players as well in what was a squad reshuffle. Tanguy Ndombele, Dele Alli, and Giovanni Lo Celso were allowed to move on while they brought in Rodrigo Bentancur and Dujan Kulusevski from Italian Serie A giants Juventus.

Son has now revealed that with Conte now the manager of the club, coupled with the new players that all joined in January, the team is feeling more refreshed and motivated to have a strong finish to the season, as he mentioned that they are eyeing a top four finish.
